Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground turkey 85% lean
  • 4-5 ounces Water
  • 15 ounces chickpeas previously cooked in your Instant Pot!, or your favorite white bean
  • 1 yellow bell pepper diced, you can add another yellow bell pepper
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic peeled and not chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 20 ounce tomatoes with chiles, (2 cans)
  • 11 ounce tomato juice 1 can
  • 12 ounces vegetable stock
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

Instructions
  1. Add ground turkey and water into Instant Pot. Select the Manual or Pressure Cook option, secure the pressure valve, and set time to cook for 5 minutes.
  2. When time is done allow to rest 5-10 minutes then quick release the pressure. Open the Instant Pot and break up the ground turkey.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients. Select the Manual option and set cooking time for 5 minutes. When time is up allow to rest for 10-15 minutes then release pressure and open lid.
  4. Stir and enjoy!

    We thought the flavor of the chili was spot on! But we were hoping it would have thickened up a little more. Maybe we will have to let it cook for longer next time.

    Yeah.. incomplete instructions. What do you mean ‘select manual?’ There are still a number of variables that need to be chosen. Lame. Trying to figure this out..

    Same issue as other reveiwerer. Where is manual function? I have Nova plus. Can’t really review since I’m stuck trying to figure out the features

    As is, the recipe makes this dish like a soup rather than chili. Hot to cut way back on the added liquids.

    Great quick meal, more of a soup not a thick chili. Reduce the amount of liquid by half for a thicker chili.

    It came out way too soupy and 1 pound of ground turkey is too little. Black beans would have been preferable over chick peas. I’ll make it my own. It’s a good start.
