Great basic instructions. Be sure to seal your cooker – I accidentally left it venting the first time and it 1)boiled out all the water and 2)undercooked the potatoes.
Very very good and tasty. So impressed. We have not made one thing that we haven’t loved.
Confusing. How do you know how long to cook? I selected “steam” mode and pressed the “+” button till it said 4.0. I thought that was 4 min per thr instructions in the manual. They came out soggy and overcooked.
At first I thought he was pushing the Steam button, but it’s the pressure Cook button. I cooked my 2 potatoes for 30 minutes. They are about 8 inches.
I’ve made this twice. Once the potatoes and water are in, I just pushed pressure cook.
It defaults to 15 minutes, and after a few seconds, it just starts.
I cut the potatoes in half before i put them in because they were huge. I could probably shorten the cook time, but haven’t experimented yet.
1c water
Sweet potatoes on steamer basket
15min on high
10min natural release
(For average, 6-8” around sweet potatoes)
