Instructions say to pressure cook for 0 minutes?? How long should it be?
Just read this, cook for 0 minutes, really??? This sounds good but needs correcting.
Hi Momma D and Letimel63,
Yes, 0 minutes is the correct cooking time. The Instant Pot Multi-Use Pressure Cooker can cook some food items in 0 minutes. The food is cooked mainly in the time it takes to pressurize due to the boiling, steaming and a little pressure at the end. You will see a 0 cooking time for more recipes.
It looks so good! But we’re not fans of the noodle part. Any recommendations on how to modify the recipe to serve over rice?
I had bought all of the ingredients before realizing that the cook time on the recipe said 0 minutes so I did some research and found a recommendation for 10 minutes on low. This worked perfect for the noodles but the vegetables were a little overdone for my taste. Overall good flavor, though.
As an update to my last comment, I talked with a friend who has a couple of years experience with the IP. She says that the cook time of 0 minutes on this recipe is probably accurate. She’s seen other recipes with the same. I’ll certainly give that a try next time!
