Simply Sensational Lasagna
By :5 Ingredients Or Less By Marilyn Haugen
I can’t decide what I love more about this lasagna: how fast and simple it is to make, or how sensational it tastes. For all these reasons, it has become a staple in my kitchen. I especially love it topped with grated Parmesan.

Instructions
  1. Spray a 6-inch springform pan (about 3 inches deep) with nonstick cooking spray (see note). Add 1/2 inch sauce to pan. Transfer remaining sauce to a bowl and stir in water.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk egg. Stir in 1-3/4 cups Italian cheese blend and ricotta.
  3. Layer one-quarter of the noodles on top of sauce in pan, breaking noodles as needed to evenly cover sauce. Top with one-third of the cheese mixture, then one-quarter of the sauce. Continue with two more layers each of noodles, cheese mixture and sauce, gently pressing down on the noodles between each layer. Finish with a layer of noodles and a layer of sauce (the pan will be very full).
  4. Add 1-1/2 cups water and the steam rack to the pot. Place the baking pan on the rack.
  5. Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release handle to Sealing. Set your Instant Pot to Pressure Cook on High for 14 minutes.
  6. When the cooking time is done, press Cancel and turn the steam release handle to Venting. When the float valve drops down, remove the lid. Sprinkle with the remaining Italian cheese blend. Close and lock the lid and let stand for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  7. Using the handles of the rack, carefully remove the rack and pan. Let lasagna stand for 10 minutes (to make it easier to cut). Cut into wedges.

Good basic recipe. Minor tweaks like adding ground beef (Saute in the pan) make this even better.

Question…in the Instructions…specifically instruction #1, it says “(see note)”

    Where is the “note”?

Made about four times in the first ten days I had my Instant Pot. Great base receipe that I enhanced with inions and garlic. Easy to make, tastes great.

Can I use regular lasagna that I have cooked or is this recipe specific to the no cook lasagna? Thanks on advance.

So I made this tonight with just a few changes for my wife and myself.

Browned 1/2lb of hamburger meat with a 1tbsp of Itailian seasoning
    Drained.
I split the layers of Ricotta cheese in two layers with the meat taking the middle layer.

While it is small it is hearty and was enough for leftovers. I personally would say enough for four people even more with some good sides.

Added note I used oven ready noodles but I see no problem using regular noodles if you half cook them.

This was the first meal I made with my new IP, and it turned out great! I made my own sauce (not a fan of sausage, so used hamburger) but it turned out great! Family loved it and it fed 5 of us for those asking about how many it feeds. We had garlic bread with it as well.

Just made this with my new Instant pot vista.

To answer someone else’s question i used REGULAR dry noodles, not the oven ready style.

    It came out great!

Its more than enough for my family of three!
    What a pleasure!

This recipe worked great, did one little change… Used meat less sauce and added my own cooked ground beef. Friends were super impressed
