After pitting rice and lentals in the cooker, im pressing rice button to get it to 12 min. And its not working. Can someone help me please?

This is dried lentils?
Mine turned into over cooked mush! My husband still liked it but the rice was way over cooked. Not sure what the fix would be because pretty sure the lentils would be under done with less time. Less water maybe?
Hi Agerin,
The finished texture of dried food is usually determined by the amount of water used. If it came out too soft, reduce the amount of liquid used. Altering recipe ingredients may cause issues with cooking the recipe.
I made for my first time cooking with the instant pot. It is delicious!
Texture was nice, but it needs more seasoning in my opinion.
