I only used onion and garlic because thats how i make my other onion rice. It was great. Easy. Takes about 15 mins.
In number 2. How can I close the lid for 5-7 minutesd stir ocasionally
This is a multicooker recipe, so it has a glass lid on top. You could do this in the instant pot but you wouldn’t cover the pot.
Awesome and so easy!
All the family loved this and I made it with Uncle Ben’s Brown rice. It has a good flavor , no need for any other sauce. I served it with Pork ribs.
Just got my Instant Pot yesterday. Made hard boiled eggs this morning (perfect) Rice Pilaf at dinner as a side dish. This recipe was delicious! I added a few finely diced carrots and a little more salt. Overall a great recipe, and a lot of fun to cook!
I need to double or triple this recipe to serve a larger group (12-14). Can I triple the recipe in the pot? If not, will keeping it warm cause the rice to over-cook and stick together?
Used 1 tsp dry thyme instead of fresh and basmati rice. So flavorful! Will be making this again soon.
I adapted this for brown rice. To do that, I increased the water by about 15% and added 10 minutes to cooking time. Very tasty.
I don’t understand #5. The Rice setting is a pressure setting. This conflicts with your multicooker answer above. There are different steps, one is saute non-pressure, one is pressure. And, what pressure level should be used.
And, I don’t understand your 25 minutes in #5, when I push Rice, it’s set to 8 minutes and I can’t change it. Does the 25 include pressurizing time?
