  1. Add butter to the Instant Pot. Using the display panel select the SAUTE function.
  2. When butter melts, add the oats and saute, stirring often, for about 5 minutes or until slightly toasted and fragrant.
  3. Add the water and salt and stir to combine, ensuring all oats are submerged.
  4. Turn the pot off by selecting CANCEL , then secure the lid, making sure the vent is closed.
  5. Using the display panel select the MANUAL or PRESSURE COOK function*. Use the +/- keys and program the Instant Pot for 12 minutes.
  6. When the time is up, let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes, then quick-release the remaining pressure.
  7. Stir the oatmeal to incorporate remaining liquid, then stir in brown sugar and peanut butter until combined.
  8. Serve hot topped with bananas, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drizzle of half and half or cream (optional).

I did not see measurement for the amount of water so I am still tweaking it for the consistency I like in Oatmeal. I love the flavors.

Consistanly good and is as quick to make as the recipe states. I add the brown sugar in the water step (4 cups) and cook it in. Use the non-stick pot if you have both types.

First time Instant Pot User, and this was my first recipe I made. It was very tasty and worked fine in the DUO Mini. I did think it was a bit much water after taking off the lid, even knowing it thickens as it sits, but it turned out to be fine. I really enjoyed thus recipe and will definitely make again! Thank you!
