This is yummy and so simple to make!
Really good! Great flavour.
Would definatly double it next time & add mushrooms to it.
Absolutely delicious!!!! And very filling.
Why doesnt the recipe tell you to turn off saute…when do you do that in this process?
Hi Mary,
You can turn off saute after adding the ingredients in step 2; right before switching to another program.
You are only able to switch cooking programs is by stopping the current program, this is done by selecting Cancel.
Great flavor, I added more salt after it was cooked just for our liking. However, I am not a fan of the texture. I like my chili to be chunky especially since we don’t use any beans for and lose that texture, and this is very thin, the way the ground beef cooked, and almost greasy. I am new to this so maybe there’s some tricks I don’t know yet. I would also add mushrooms next time as we are a shroom loving family! Thanks for sharing your recipes!!
It doesnt say to drain the meat at all. I think that should be added 🙂
Do you brown beef first?
Is frozen or thawed ground beef better to use or dows it matter? I used frozen and had to open it halfway to chop it up and be sure it sidnt stick to the bottom.
I used 90/10 beef so there wasnt a lot of extra grease. My friends on keto loved it and my husband who hates beans and onions finally has a chili recipe for him!
First time user, I have a question about the bacon , do you put it in the instant pot uncooked or cook the bacon first?
Do these people not understand how to read instructions? All the info is in the directions…. read it a few times maybe then you can make this.
It is recommended to read a recipe completely before beginning to cook.
This is the 2nd time I have made this and followed the recipe perfectly….both times got burnt alert even after adding more water. Any advice?
