While the fresh broccoli is in the pressure cooker roasting, do not stir until the liquids have been added.
Start with the lesser amount of cheese and add more for cheese lovers.
If you want to use packaged frozen broccoli (but why would you, when fresh is sold all year around in stores), skip the first step and just dump all ingredients except cheese the pressure cooker and set the cook time.
If using anything other than full fat cream, add it in after pressure is released. Otherwise, it will curdle and become not edible.

This was good for a cool night
When I did a manual release for the pressure the contents came out creating a huge mess. We would cut the hot sauce back to 1/2 teaspoon. Otherwise really good. Even better than Panera’s.
Can I double the ingredients for a large group?
You are able to adjust potion size in the App. When doubling recipes ensure it doesn’t go over the Max 2/3 line.
Yum! I am not much of a cook and this turned out great. My husband is a fantastic cook and he said he loved it! Winner!
Hi Randy,
This can happen if the inner pot is too full or cooking starchy food types and then quick release. The recipe suggests to wait 5-10 minutes to allow for some natural pressure release before attempting to quick release. If ever contents begins to spew out the steam release, please turn it back to sealing and allow for the Instant Pot Multi-Use Pressure Cooker to naturally pressure release.
Very good!! Will definitely make again!
Yummy for the whole family!
Awesome! So delicious!
So good!! I’ve never made this but this was soooo good!!!
This was my first recipe ising the instabt pot. DELICIOUS, easy, and healthy!
Used my Blend Tec to blend 1/2 at a time. Worked great, taste great!
This turned out fantastic. Made it for a potluck at work and everybody loves it. I roasted (most of) my broccoli in the oven rather than the pot and didnt blend all my other stuff before adding it.
My cream curdled? Which usually happens when you boil. Did no one else have this issue?
We are sorry to hear your milk curdled.
Note from the recipe author:
If using anything other than full fat cream, add it in after pressure is released. Otherwise, it will curdle.
When you call for 14 oz of shredded cheese, do you mean by volume or weight? 14 oz by weight is a HUGE amount of cheese, so I’ll go with volume.
Hi Ike,
That I do not know. I believe it is by volume as weight seems too much.
We will contact the creator and update recipe when we find out.
Thank you.
It turned out better then what i expected, i will definitely make it again, keeping it in my favorites
Well,I doubled the recipe for my family of 13 and it worked great
