  • 2 cloves garlic smashed
  • 1/2 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 bottle pale lager beer 12 ounces
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeno seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 pound large easy peel shrimp shell-on shrimp that are deveined
  • 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley chopped
  • Baguette or country bread for serving

Instructions
  1. Press Sear/Sauté on the Instant Pot. Let heat for 3 minutes, then add the olive oil.
  2. Add the garlic and onion to the pot, and cook and stir for 4 minutes.
  3. Add the beer, lemon slices, jalapeño, and Old Bay to the pot, and bring to a simmer. Press Cancel.
  4. Nestle the shrimp in the beer mixture in a single layer. Cover with the lid, press Steam, and steam until the shrimp are opaque throughout, 3 to 5 minutes. Press Cancel.
  5. Toss the shrimp with the parsley and transfer to a serving platter.
  6. Serve with the baguette, for dipping into the broth.

    Not good at all. This recipe was disgusting and i wasted shrimp on it. It made the shrimp mush and the flavor was rancid.

    I canged the recipe a bit
    12 oz beer
    1teaspoon paprika
    3 cloves garlic
    4 teaspoons tomato paste
    1 onion
    1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    4 teaspoons chicken broth
    1 teaspoon salt
    Steamed for 5 min.
    Tastes better then the recipe
