When do you use the pot to cook? For how long?
Hi Emaven,
This recipe is for our blender and not our pressure cooker.
Do you use the reserved liqud
Be careful! I got the error message that the motor was overheating. I added more liquid than the recipe and tamped it down. I got the same error message again. The Ace Blender seems poorly suited for thicker foods like hummus. I gave up and used my very old, but reliable immersion blender. So disappointed!!
Hi SuzannePrior,
We are sorry to hear you were disappointed attempting this recipe.
Did you follow the Layering guide in the manual that goes over how the ingredients are supposed to be layered to ensure smooth blending?
When adding more liquid if it is still thick around the blades it won’t be able to blend to incorporate the added liquid. You will have to remove the pitcher from the base and give it a little stir. The tamper is meant to push food down but if it is too thick it will need a mix to loosen up the thickness around the blade.
Additionally, if you received the overheating error you will have to wait for a cooldown period. It will not start right away because the motor is still warm which it senses and produce the same error when reattempting in too short of a time.
No, you do not use the reserved liquid.
Yes, i followed the layering guidelines. I even added more liquid initially because i was nervous about it overheating. I really think the Ace Blender needs a redesign with a stronger motor. I say this as someone who is a huge fan of the Instant Pot (I have 3). So disappointing

Thank you for the feedback.
We are sorry to hear you are disappointed and will pass your feedback to our product team.
How many servings were you making?
I used the measurements in the recipe, except for the extra liquid I added
